House technic:

Type of ventilation system:

Compact unit with exhaust air heat pump

Controlled living space ventilation with heat recovery from exhaust air by compact unit including cross flow heat exchanger and micro heat pump, intake air pre-heating provided by supplementary heating register
30 m ground heat exchanger at a depth of 1.5 – 2.0 m
Producer: J. Pichler, combination apparatus PKOM4classic

The compact aggregate is certified by the Passive House Institute

Because of it's space requirements of only 0.75 m², including a 212 liter hot water boiler, the compact ventilation system could be placed on the toilet.

All the ventilation pipes are "Spiro Wickelfalzrohre", which are viewable below the wooden beam ceiling. The cold incoming and outgoing air pipes are insulated with 10 cm aluminium foil-claid mineral wool.

PH-scheibe axometrie-schnitt

Heating system:

100 % green electricity for power demand.
Mean annual power consumption for ventilation, heating, domestic hot water and auxiliary current only 1470 kWh (equals average power consumption of auxiliary current alone in conventional single-family homes [e.g. circulation pumps] and residual current

Reserve heating 1 emergency 2 kW bioethanol-fired stove of max. 2 kW, free-standing in the living room, without chimney.
Annual consumption of high-proof alcohol 11 litres!

J. Pichler, combination apparatus PKOM4classic

Hot water:

The needed hot water is produced from the outgoing air by the micro heat pump of the compact aggregate with cross-flow heat exchanger and saved in the 212 liter hot water boiler.

Electricity saving concept:

All electrict devices were bought according their energy efficiency class.

Stromerzeugung:

100 % green electricity consumption
